We are seeking a Plumbing Service Technician responsible for diagnosing, installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The technician will respond to service calls, troubleshoot issues, provide accurate assessments, and offer solutions for plumbing problems such as leaks, blockages, or faulty fixtures. Excellent customer service, adherence to safety standards, and ensuring all work complies with local plumbing codes and regulations is required.

Job Responsibilities

This job requires a commitment to doing what needs to be done to get the job completed correctly and in a timely manner.

Inspect and diagnose plumbing systems to identify problems such as leaks, clogs, broken pipes, or malfunctioning equipment.

Respond to customer service requests, providing timely and efficient repairs, installations, or maintenance services.

Install new pipes, drains, faucets, toilets, water heaters, water softeners, and other plumbing fixtures and appliances.

Repair or replace defective or worn parts, including valves, pipes, and fixtures. Conduct routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent future issues.

Test systems for leaks, pressure, and operational efficiency. Ensure all components are functioning correctly and meet safety standards.

Communicate with customers to explain the problem, provide cost estimates, recommend solutions, and offer maintenance advice.

Keep the company vehicle clean and stocked with the necessary tools, parts, and equipment for daily service calls.

Adhere to local, state, and federal plumbing codes and regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.

Complete work orders, maintain records of materials used, and accurately document work performed for each job.

Comply with safety protocols when working with gas lines, water systems, and high-pressure environments. Use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) on all jobs.

Experience/Education Requirements

2+ years of plumbing experience, particularly in service and repair; valid plumbing license or certification as required by local/state regulations; strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and technical skills; ability to use a variety of tools and equipment; excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and explain complex issues; ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks; valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications include experience with both residential and commercial plumbing systems; knowledge of advanced plumbing techniques, including tankless water heaters, sump pumps, and water filtration systems.
