Position Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the strategic and day-to-day operations of the warehouse to support HVAC and Electrical service and installation teams. This role ensures timely restocking and distribution of materials, supervises warehouse personnel, and maintains a safe, organized, and compliant working environment.

 

Travel Requirements

Minimum. Employee must own or lease a vehicle and possess a valid driver’s license with insurance coverage.

 

Essential Duties & Approximate Commitment of Time

Key Responsibilities

Manage warehouse operations in alignment with company policies and vision by overseeing receiving, storage, distribution, and inventory control; supervising warehouse associates, Apprentices, and Parts Runners; enforcing safety, security, and equipment standards; maintaining accurate inventory counts; coordinating truck bin replenishment, shipments, special orders, emergency part shuttling, and warranty returns; preparing truck stocking kits; tracking tools and minimizing material loss; supporting Apprentice training; maintaining vendor relationships; and staying current on industry regulations and innovations.

Communication & Collaboration

 

Communicate professionally with coworkers, vendors, and clients while keeping management informed of activities and issues, and collaborate effectively with Dispatch, Install Coordinators, and Team Leaders to support smooth daily operations.

Leadership & Culture

 

Uphold the company’s Code of Values by fostering a clean, secure, and well-maintained work environment, applying strong problem-solving skills to operational challenges, and contributing to overall team success by assisting with additional duties as needed.

Adhere to safety protocols and company procedures during each client visit. Operate personal and company vehicles in accordance with Company policies and practices as well as motor vehicle laws.

Position Requirements

Education Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration.

Education Preferred:

None. 

Experience Required:

5+ years of warehouse management experience. 2+ years in a logistics role. Experience with warehouse management software and databases.

Experience Preferred:

None.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge Licenses, Certifications Preferred:

Must be insurable with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to drive a company vehicle.

Functional Knowledge:

Expertise in warehouse procedures and KPIs. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure. Proficiency in relevant computer applications and mathematical calculations

Physical Demands

Frequent physical activity is required, including standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, handling or feeling objects, and lifting equipment. This role also involves intermittent periods of sustained physical exertion, such as stooping, climbing, and independently lifting items up to 15 lbs.

 

Hours

Regular hours are 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday-Friday. You may be asked to work occasional overtime if needed as determined by manager.
